On my recent visit to one of the corners of the world, I was intrigued by the design of a staircase. I loved its brilliant and innovative design, which was not only accessible but also aesthetically pleasing.
Accessible design is essential for creating inclusive products that everyone can use, regardless of their abilities. A few eyeopener statistics:
👉 In a survey of people with disabilities, 71% reported leaving a website that was not accessible (WebAIM).
👉 By 2025, the global market for assistive technologies is expected to reach $26 billion (Grand View Research).

Progress usually begins where certainty ends. Our obsession with certainty distorts our vision to “unknown knowns”. We need to break free from our obsession with certainty and harness the power of uncertainty.
The core of digital product design is to explore beyond the unthinkable, the key is to learn and take inspiration from other industries & leaders. Instead of regarding the status quo as absolute, we should question them until we are left with the fundamental principles.
Here are a few tips to go beyond what we assume we know are the only truth and kill your personal bias:
★ Park the most obvious solutions, look out for exclusive and unique ideas. - We do this all the time at Myntra Design Tea
★ Set out to prove yourself wrong rather than confirm what you believe to be true. Good for all professionals.

Empathy - getting into consumer shoe but hold on there is more to it. Empathy means challenging your preconceived ideas and setting aside your sense of what you think is true in order to learn what actually is true.
We talk about empathy loosely and most commonly as a single attribute but there are four distinct kinds of empathy, each important for all involved #stakeholders and your #leadership effectiveness.
★ Cognitive empathy - the ability to understand another person's perspective. ★ Emotional empathy - the ability to feel what someone else feels. ★ Compassionate Empathy - feeling someone’s pain, and taking action to help. ★ Empathic concern - the ability to sense what another person needs from you.
Deep empathy for people makes our observations powerful sources of inspiration.
